Welcome
Faithful Living Recovery Home provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals overcoming mental health challenges, domestic violence, and substance abuse. Our mission is to help people find stability, strength, and freedom through compassionate care, peer empowerment, and structured sober living. We proudly welcome men, women, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ community.
About Us
Faithful Living Recovery Home is more than housing—it is a community built on hope and transformation.
Founded and led by Lashonder S. Demery, LCDC, Faithful Living was created to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals overcoming mental health challenges, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
Lashonder brings both professional training and personal experience to her leadership. She is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Parenting Instructor, Life Coach, and woman in long-term recovery. She is also the author of Tears of a Lost Soul and Tears of a Lost Soul – Second Edition, powerful testimonies of struggle, faith, and healing.
With an Associate of Applied Science degree from Houston Community College, Lashonder combines her education with compassion and lived experience to help others find stability and freedom. Her mission is simple: to walk alongside individuals as they rebuild their lives with dignity, strength, and hope.
At Faithful Living, we believe recovery is a journey, not a destination. That’s why we provide a structured, inclusive environment that welcomes men, women, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ community. Here, residents find not only shelter but also community, healing, and a renewed sense of belonging.
